There is some confusion about subliminal messages and how they can be used. Subliminal messages are simply written or spoken statements or visual images that are presented to you at an unconscious level. Once you had to consciously learn how to do these things, something that required all your attention. Now they are automatic. The same is true of your beliefs and attitudes. They have become automatic and subconscious!

The subconscious mind is like a massive storehouse for memories, emotions, thoughts and beliefs. As you grew-up, and especially in childhood, you will have formed most of the beliefs you now hold to be true. Many of these beliefs were passed down to you from adults and therefore without the ability to critically analyse them you accepted them as fact. They then entered the subconscious mind to run on automatic like a computer program.

In order for the subconscious mind to have a belief, or program, in most cases the belief must first pass through the conscious mind were it can be analysed an either accepted as being true or rejected for being false.

However, the subconscious mind can be influenced without interference from the conscious mind through the use of subliminal messages. This can be used to influence behaviour, beliefs and attitudes and should therefore be totally under your control!
